That was interesting.
I wonder how long it'll take them to overcome the issue of not being able to shoot in 3D.

I would imagine they could, if they flickered the backdrop to show two different composites of the sam e scene at, say, 120hz, and set each camera to record on alternating 60hz cycles. So they’d need to render a sepa rate perspective for each camera, but it wouldn’ t be impossible to accomplish.
They use basically the same technique with certain 3D glasses... it would just be using the same process to record.

I was thinking something along those lines as well. Maybe getting a display that large with a high refresh rate is the hard part?

Ah, yeah, good point. They might get the rolling shutter effect on a display that big.
